“May I live like the lotus, at ease in muddy water”

I provide individual therapy sessions for adults 18+.

At this time, I only offer virtual sessions.

Having a well-connected therapeutic relationship is key to effective therapy, so I recommend scheduling a free 15-minute phone consultation prior to our first session. I will briefly ask you some questions to better understand your needs and to determine if I might be a good fit for the type of counseling services you are looking for. If I'm not the right fit for you, I will be happy to help you find another therapist who might be right for you based on your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Intake and follow-up sessions are 55 minutes. I spend the 5 minutes after our session writing notes, staying hydrated, and practicing mindfulness.

For clients that prefer to pay privately for sessions, my fee is $150 for 55 minutes. I am also a provider with the following insurance companies: Aetna, Anthem, Oscar, United Healthcare/ Optum, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna.

What are your fees and how long is a session?

Prior to your first session, you will complete intake paperwork that gives me a general idea of your goals for treatment and some past history. Our first session will build off of that so we can plan long-term treatment goals together and identify immediate needs and concerns. We will discuss confidentiality, privacy practices, and what it means for you to be in therapy. You may feel a little nervous, but therapy is a nonjudgmental, safe space and is your time above all.

We will not cover everything in one session, but it will set the foundation for our therapeutic relationship if we determine that I am a good fit to guide you in your journey. If I am not, I hope to assist you in finding a better fit for you.

What are some tips to prepare for online therapy?

Some ways that you can make yourself feel more prepared and relaxed might include:

  • Having a comfortable place to sit that feels safe and private. A noise machine placed outside your closed door and some earbuds/ headphones can ensure increased privacy for your session.

  • Keeping something to drink nearby that you enjoy, such as water, coffee, or some hot tea

  • A box of tissues handy, just in case you need them

  • A notetaking instrument in case you want to jot down something

  • A small post-it note to cover up your image on your device, if seeing yourself on the screen makes you feel anxious or distracted
